The sun was out, it was just hidden by the clouds. The sky was blue, it was just raining. We trolled up to the Bar Éphémère de la Fonderie Darling to industrial bliss. Am art space in the rear and a gutted restaurant(CLUNY) on the front. each of us arrived under an array of colours deciphered by the pile of crates towering up to the roof. Make up, model, hair, photographers, director, stylists and the cheerleaders stomped in., most dolled up in shades of black a nod to the norm and the inspiration for the shoot in store.
Setting up the walls white, a canvas for our androgynous journey, brick tattered and worn water drips from the ceilings corner, a reminder that unconventionality is beauty and a studio can pop up anywhere. everyone’s quiet even though were alone, he echolocation wanders back and forth between hairspray and eye liner, a wailing call within the walls. A fresh face from Dulcedo awaits the gender neutral makeup between instagram teasers, search for efficient lighting and the right song. DYDH is ready for a new chic campaign for MEWS with effortless minimalist stylist/art director Garrett Naccarato, Photographers Bob Garcia and Madelyn Hajek of Four Horns, Videographer Jes of Nudabite, Tanya on makeup and Josh on hair and Dina Habib and I as producive support. Colors a myth and on this grey day black and white magic is nor good nor evil.
